Globdog DG-100 first release (0.5 beta)

I've just put the first primitive release of the GlobalSat DG-100 linux manager application "GlobDoG DG-100."

This is available here.

The release is as a primitive .deb package, only tested for Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.1.

When one downloads the package, one need only double-click it to start the installation procedure. I've checked it resolves all needed dependencies.

The application should then be available in the Applications-->Accessories menu.

  1. How can I can help to debug this issue? It's just trapping on every device-related operation. Ubuntu x86 9.10.

    terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range'
    what(): basic_string::substr

  2. Hi John,
    I have a DG-100 too, but I'm on Ubuntu 11.something and trying to install the code through the Ubuntu Software Manager I get an error about "wrong architecture i386".
    I encountered such confusions a while ago - to my surprise, it seems that my laptop is a 64-bit one (oh, who needs sodding complications like this! Particularly when trying to get into important TrueCrypt archives. Took days to work out what the problem was and find the solution.)
    So ... is it possible to re-compile the code with 64-bit libraries, or something? My knowledge of Linux build systems and so on is so sketchy that I'm not even sure if this is even a sensible question.
    Oh gawd ... profiles too. WTF? Whatever happened to email addresses?
